Flower Description: Japan,

 

Niitaka is a highly russeted orange-brown pear with excellent size. It is one of the larger Asian pears. The fruit is juicy and sweet and is more heavily textured than most Asian varieties. The tree is more spurry and dense growing than other pears. Fruit will keep in storage up to four months.
Early spring is the best time to plant bare-root trees. Choose a site with full sun and well-drained soil.
Pollination Information
Asian pears are partially self-fruitful. they'll produce more and larger fruits with cross pollination. Please plant more than one variety at the same time , they'll produce more and larger fruits with cross pollination.
Tree Height:10-14', Spread:8-10'. Thin heavily for size.
